Exam Invigilators
Hayesfield Girls’ School are seeking to appoint a number of exam invigilators who are dedicated to ensuring every student receives the very best exam experience possible.
Salary: £24,796 £25,185 per annum pro rata (Grade 1 SCP 3-4) Hourly rate: £ 12.85-£13.05 per hour with 12.07% uplift
Closing date: Tuesday 6th January 2026 at 9am

The role:
The role is offered on a casual basis. Hours to be worked as agreed during exam sessions. Shifts begin at 8am and are mostly 3 hours long. Some exam days end around 5pm, breaks and lunches are unpaid. Exam season is from mid-May until end of June every year and mocks season is in January and November.
The post holders will provide invigilation cover for external examinations and carry out associated administrative duties as directed by the Examinations Officer. Duties include assisting with the preparation of examination rooms and monitoring student behaviour during examinations.
Requirements:
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a reasonable level of literacy, have a good attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well to both children and adults.
