Dundry Church of England Primary School currently have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated practitioner to join the team as a Teaching Assistant with SMSA duties, supporting teaching staff with responsibility for the development and educational provision of learners.
Both roles are Fixed Term until 31st August 2026 in the first instance, with the potential to be extended.
Role: Teaching Assistant
Grade 2, Point 4-5, £25,185 - £25,583 per annum, pro rata.
Actual Salary: 17,231.30 - £17,503.61.
30 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 15:30, Term Time plus 1 Inset day.
Role: SMSA
Grade 1, Point 3-4, £24,796 - £25,185 per annum, pro rata.
Actual Salary: £1,407.34 – £1,429.42
2.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday at lunchtime, Term Time Only (no Inset days)

The successful applicant will join an enthusiastic and dedicated team to deliver high quality provision and support for our Early Years/Key Stage 1 class.
Key Responsibilities
• Support Learning: Work alongside the Class Teacher to deliver engaging activities that meet the EYFS Framework goals and KS1 curriculum.
• Foster Independence: Encourage children to develop social skills, confidence, and independence through play and structured routines.
• Environment Care: Help maintain a safe, stimulating, and organized indoor and outdoor learning environment.
• Observation: Assist in recording children’s progress and "wow moments" to contribute to their learning journeys.
• Care & Wellbeing: Provide personal care (where required) and ensure the emotional well-being of all pupils.
