Hours of Work:
25.6 hours per week, 5 days a week
Term time and 5 INSET days
Abated salary: £15,226.00 - £15,465.00
Purpose of the Role
This is an exciting and varied role split across our Preschool and Key Stage 1 provision. The
successful candidate will spend two days each week working as an Early Years Practitioner
within our Preschool, supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing through high-
quality provision and play-based learning experiences. They will spend two days each week
supporting teaching and learning within our Year 2 classroom, helping pupils to access the
curriculum and achieve their full potential. The remaining day will be allocated according to
school need.
The successful candidate will be passionate about children's development, understand the
importance of nurturing positive relationships and be committed to ensuring every child feels
safe, valued and successful. As part of our wider inclusion ethos, they will play a key role in
providing high-quality support that removes barriers to learning and promotes children's social,
emotional and academic progress.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting Learning and Development in Preschool
Work as part of the Early Years team to provide a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment
where children can thrive. Support children's learning through play, adult-led activities and high-
quality interactions that promote communication, language, personal, social and emotional
development.
Observe children's learning and development, contributing to assessments and learning records
where appropriate. Support the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
curriculum, helping children to make strong progress across all areas of learning.
Build warm and trusting relationships with children and families, supporting smooth transitions
into preschool and school life. Promote independence, curiosity and confidence, helping children
develop the skills they need for future learning.
