We are currently recruiting for the role of Cover Supervisor to manage and support classes during teacher absence to start as soon as possible.

The Cover Supervisor is expected to uphold the school’s high expectations in lessons and embrace the school’s Core Values of aspiration, compassion, independence and respect.

The successful candidate will be expected to cover lessons in different subjects using the lesson resources provided and following the teaching and learning systems used by all staff.

In addition to ensuring good learning takes place in covered lessons, the Cover Supervisor role at Beechen Cliff is also important in the provision of high level sports coaching and fixtures throughout the school, including to our mixed Sixth Form. A skill in sport, in particular, football and a willingness to participate in this programme would therefore be a distinct advantage.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a successful school and alongside a committed staff team.

Beechen Cliff is a high achieving state day and boarding school – for boys only in Years 7-11 and with a large, vibrant, academic mixed Sixth Form. There are over 1,250 students at Beechen Cliff, of which 400 are in the Sixth Form. We have a proud tradition of both strong academic success and the provision of a wide range of extra curricular activities.

Beechen Cliff School is part of the Midsomer Norton Schools Partnership. Midsomer Norton Schools Partnership is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced Disclosure Barring Service Certificate is required for this post prior to commencement.

We will close the advert early should we have sufficient interest and so early application is advised.
