  • Intervention Delivery: Plan and deliver targeted learning objectives, with a strong focus on improving core literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Assessment & Feedback: Track student progress systematically, providing objective feedback to teachers and participating in parent review meetings.
  • Line Management: Manage a team of Teaching Assistants, leading on their work allocation, team meetings, induction, and annual appraisals.
  • Short-Term Cover: Supervise whole classes or tutor groups during a teacher's brief absence, maintaining excellent order and high expectations.

Requirements

  • Expertise: Specialist training in learning strategies or SEN areas (e.g., dyslexia, autism, literacy/numeracy frameworks).
  • Leadership: Proven ability to organize, motivate, and line-manage a team of support staff effectively.
  • Experience: Clear understanding of secondary-age education and statutory SEN frameworks.
  • Attributes: A calm, professional manner with excellent communication skills and the physical capability to support active learning environments.
