Role: Teaching Assistant/SMSA

Location: High Littleton Primary School

Start Date: ASAP

SMSA Hours: 5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 12-1pm, term time only

TA Hours: 25 hours per week Monday to Friday 8:45-12pm then 1.30pm-3.15pm , term time only

SMSA Salary: Grade: 1 SCP 3-4 (FTE £25,614 - £26,016, actual salary £2,973.91 - £3,020.58)

TA Salary: Grade: 3 SCP 5-7 (FTE £26,427 - £27,274, actual salary £15,341.51 - £15,833.22)

High Littleton School is a Church of England primary school located in the village of High Littleton, near Bath. About the Role:

The role involves working closely with teachers to support children’s learning, development and wellbeing, as well as providing encouragement and assistance to pupils who may need additional support. As an SMSA, you will also help supervise children during lunchtime, promote positive behaviour and ensure pupils are safe, happy and well cared for. The successful candidate will be a positive role model who is patient, approachable and committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all children. 

What We're Looking For:

We are looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about supporting children and helping them thrive. The ideal candidate will have a Level 2 teaching assistant qualification, excellent communication and teamwork skills, a positive attitude and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff. You will be reliable, approachable and able to promote positive behaviour while ensuring children feel safe, supported and included. Previous school experience working with children is desirable.
